Julie Szabo and Darren Barefoot’s first e-book covers everything from blogging to Facebook from a marketer’s perspective, with handy sample chapters. It’s a lively, fast-paced and engaging tour of the social web with a nice, hard practical edge.

A crazy-good idea: sync friends’ FB contact info to your Mac’s address book. (So good that it contravened FB’s terms of use, and the author scaled the contact info back to just photos.) Tricky interface, but great concept. And worked flawlessly for me.

Apple’s Mail.app is great, but its signature support is still weak. Enter SignatureProfiler, which lets you insert variables into your sig that change according to the account you send from. Neat! Donationware.

Search takes a little step forward in Apple’s Mail.app in OS X 10.5 with Google-like terms that let you run searches like “delicioso from:backpack email:dora-the-explorer.com subject:yum”.
