Yes, ads.

I’ve added Google AdSense to RobCottingham.ca.

Why, you ask? (I’m waiting. Please ask.) Is it because I’ve run out of money to send to the relative-of-a-deposed-African-leader promising to transfer $40,000,000 to my bank account any day now? Am I amassing a vast store of capital as part of my cunning plan to buy a piece of Skype for my very own? Or is it related to my secret underground lair and that giant laser orbiting the Earth?

None of these, sadly. I’m just doing a little of that first-hand learning, trying to grok the ins and outs of AdSense.

Now, if you’re about to storm off in a huff, let me suggest a few alternatives.

See, these days the RobCottingham.ca blog acts mainly as an aggregator for stuff I’m doing elsewhere – blogging on Social Signal, drawing the Noise to Signal cartoon and bookmarking fascinating tidbits on Delicious.com.

So if you’d like to get all that tasty content without commercial interruption, just grab those feeds here, here and here.

Thanks for listening. And feel free to comment below.

A few hints: HTML works fine, but if you want a web address to appear properly (especially a long complex one), please use <a> tags -- WordPress does ugly and unfortunate things to things like ampersands.
