    I’m on Facebook because my employer wants me to implement “Login with Facebook”. Unfortunately Facebook thinks having no friends means I’m a phony, and won’t let me create an app so that I can do this.

    That’s not helpful of them.

    But thanks for providing at least one answer to just exactly why are you on Facebook? – and for another, there’s also authentication on third-party sites.
