It’s been about, good grief, 30 years since I last drew fanart. (I’m going to go out on a limb and say it was X-wing fighters, TIE fighters and the Millennium Falcon.) But Noelle Stevenson’s (gingerhaze) webcomic (soon to be a book!) Nimona is just irresistible. A recent page had a rampaging, fire-wreathed hellbeast triggering a lockdown on levels B1 through B3… which made me wonder, how did that make the people on level B4 feel? I’m guessing “nervous”. Here’s the same hellbeast, a few seconds after the sprinklers go off: I’ll admit, I’m kind of flummoxed over etiquette. Do you post fanart on someone’s webcomic as a comment (or is that presumptuous)? Post it on your own blog and link (or is that spammy)? Webcomic friends, got any insights?
