CNN is cancelling Crossfire:
[CNN president Jonathan] Klein specifically cited the criticism that the comedian Jon Stewart leveled at “Crossfire” when he was a guest on the program during the presidential campaign. Mr. Stewart said that ranting partisan political shows on cable were “hurting America.”
Mr. Klein said last night, “I agree wholeheartedly with Jon Stewart’s overall premise.”
To anyone who secretly believed CNN was actually being programmed by the Comedy Network, well, there’s your proof.
Meanwhile, congratulations to Jon Stewart. So, um, what do you do when you’ve shot down an entire TV program? Paint a little Carlson Tucker bowtie on the side of your plane?
….Stewart’s criticism was levelled at Crossfire generally and little Dick (Tucker) Carlson specifically.
And the fact that said Carlson is also on PBS because his Dad, big Dick (Richard) Carlson was once the Chairman of the Corporation of (NotSo)Public Broadcasting is just one more reason we must count our lucky stars for the CBC…..
(flipside though is the fact that because of CBC seniority policies for on-air radio personalities we also have to put up with Cluffie every morning instead of Hal Wake)
