Looking for advice on public speaking, speechwriting and leadership communications? Here are some of my most comprehensive posts, on topics that people ask me about most often.
Looks nice – very slick. *sigh* Sometimes I wish I still had my own blog. Oh well, hopefully movement on that front soon.
Nice overall look, much more sophisticated than the gawdy one.
Some inconsistencies. Like this page has put scroll bars around the content area and this form is way too wide. Nice favicon, which doesn’t show in the address bar for all pages, though it does appear in the browser tabs (I’m running Firefox, 800 pixel wide screen)
Hi, Derek – Thanks for the comments. I’m still trying to suss out the favicon issue, but was able to resolve the form width problem with a little CSS tweak.
And Sean, BC wishes with you!
I like the old one. I fear change.

Boy, are you in the right province! :-)
Did Mr. Holman just suggest that a ressurection is close at hand?
Its cleaner and brighter and easier to read and makes more sense than the Globe and Mail’s op-ed page! (OK, that’s not too terribly hard). Seriously, I think its a major improvement.
That’s my read, Ross. (Great. Now people will expect ODTAA to break this kind of news every day.)
And thanks, Keith. The old look was my reaction to the sea of goth dreariness that seemed to be overwhelming so much of the blogimatrix back in 2001. It’s kind of a mess, and I should probably have ditched it around the same time I jumped to WorPress, but it still has a kind of warmth to it that made me reluctant to give it up.
The scroll bars in the content areas are irksome, but it may have been a byproduct of the older browser I was using when I looked at the site earlier today. Thankfully, they’re not showing up on my home box (Firefox 1.0.1, Linux, 1024*768 for those who care about that sort of stuff.) The basic layout, though, suits me nicely even if using Rotis Semi-Serif in the header sets off my gag reflex.
Oops…there I go starting rumours again. Old habits die hard ;)
I like the change, good work. I tooo will be looking for a less cluttered look soon as well. Content is still the good stuff.
