If I can take the liberty, here’s his post in brief:
Marc Emery may be able to argue that extradition treaties don’t apply because Canada doesn’t really enforce these laws any more and we’re planning on decriminalizing anyway. His likely sentence if convicted is far out of proportion to what he could expect in Canada. And the RCMP probably should have told the U.S. thanks, but no thanks because the investigation took up resources that could have been better used elsewhere. Say, how’s the War on Drugs going, guys?
