Terrific news from last month’s convention of the American Association of Political Consultants: my friends (and former coworkers) at NOW Communications took home four Pollies, the coveted awards for excellence in political communication.
They won a bronze in the transit advertising category for their “Unions Make a Difference” campaign for the CLC (a category that pitted them against top American political consulting firms). And in international TV advertising, they took home gold for a pre-election ad for the BC Teachers’ Federation, two bronzes for BC NDP ads in the 2005 provincial election, and an honourable mention an ad for the Hospital Employees’ Union.
I’m delighted, partly because I worked on three of those projects, but mostly because I know how hard everyone at NOW works to produce creative that punches through with a powerful, effective message. Well done, amigas and amigos.
Yay for NOW! I’m glad to see they’re still doing so well.
