My MacBook Pro is in the shop – something’s gone terribly wrong with the video (none on the laptop display, none on the external) – and I’m on a loaner computer, working from scratch. I have a hard drive with a few-days-old home folder on it, and whatever files and apps are out there in the web world… and it’s still a pain in the ass.
Clearly, I have a ways to go before I’m officially free of the hardware.
