A confession: I bought a stock photo of a microphone and auditorium five or six years ago, and I’ve been using the same damn photo ever since. What’s more, a lot of other people have been using the same photograph too. (And not without reason. It’s a natural: the speaker’s POV from the stage.)
I wanted a new photo to use, just to change things up. So just before I spoke at the IABC-BC’s signature storytelling evening last month, I shot a few photos from the stage from my trusty iPhone.
I won’t claim they’re colour-corrected, perfectly cropped or even sharply focused. What they are is free for non-commercial use, under a Creative Commons non-commercial attribution license. So if that sounds like you, feel free!
